OUR WORK
COURSE HIGHLIGHTS
This is for the kids that thrive on hands-on learning and don't enjoy sitting at their desk doing coursework. During remote learning, we worried we may lose students who have their sights set on careers in the auto tech industry, but don’t have the same enthusiasm for other classes. For auto shop, giving up the hands-on element is not an option.
This course was designed with Hands-on projects in Engine Repair, Precision Measurement, Brake Systems, Electrical, and Tires, as well as computer simulations for Engine Performance and Electrical. They get Science, Engineering, Math and Career and Technical Education credits through the course. The skills learned in auto shop can shepherd kids into jobs in the automotive industry.

Hot Rod Highschool was founded during the COVID-19 pandemic by a resourceful shop teacher who developed a way for students to continue their automotive education from home. Recognizing the broader need, Hot Rod Highschool now offers high-quality, remote automotive courses designed for homeschool students, school districts, and dealerships. Our mission is to make hands-on automotive education accessible to all, inspiring future automotive professionals and enthusiasts.
